"A Joyful Return" by the North Coast Concert Band

The Sandusky Concert Association is pleased to present a FREE concert from a band composed of local musicians!

The North Coast Concert Band's May 1 performance will feature American folk songs and patriotic selections. A tribute to Dick Speir, who was a long-time trombonist in the band, will be performed by high school musicians participating in an emotional and joyful selection honoring Mr. Speir's legacy.

The North Coast Concert Band formed in January of 1983. The concert band, under the direction of John Kustec, performs in Willard, Fostoria, Tiffin, Norwalk, Sandusky, Port Clinton, Oak Harbor, Bellevue, Clyde, Fremont, Kelleys Island, Maumee Bay State Park, Old Fort, Bowling Green, and Huron.

The North Coast Concert Band currently has some 85 members who range in age from 22 to 95 and who hail from a variety of backgrounds and communities.
