Kevin MiuraRising Star: Kevin Miura

Kevin Miura, a 16 year-old violin virtuoso, will perform Camille Saint-Saens' Violin Concerto No. 3 with the Firelands Symphony Orchestra. Miura has appeared as a soloist with several orchestras. In 2016, he was chosen to participate in the biennial Menuhin Competition, an internationally prestigious music event for violinists age 22 and under. Kevin placed second and was awarded the loan of a rare Stradivarius dating back to the 1700s as a result.

Kevin first picked up the violin when he was 5 years old. He considered it "kind of a hobby" at first, but then began to love it and realized even at his young age that he'd found what he wanted to do for the rest of his life.
